The SSEW-100D is a new device which lets you connect an RS-232 device to your network wirelessly and lets PCs access it as if they were connected to the PC.
An intuitive Installation Wizard gets you up and running quickly, automatically searching local and remote subnets for installed device servers within seconds of inserting the installation CD-ROM. Any network settings automatically assigned by DHCP networks are displayed for confirmation, or enter a static IP address easily using the Installation Wizard – you won't need to bother with telnet sessions, MAC address data entry or special cables. Ad-Hoc and Infrastructure modes are supported, as are WEP and WPA protocols to help safely secure data transfers.
No client software is installed on your PC, just a small set of drivers that configures each serial port as a new COM port on the PC. This allows software applications to access the attached serial device as they are designed to, with no custom programming needed. Simply point your software application to the new, "virtual" COM port and you're all set!
