The CRTtoLCD-7 is a highly integrated flatpanel controller that allows to connect standard analog RGB or DVI sources to digital TFT panels. It includes all the necessary functionality to design a full featured LCD monitor. From a single 12 V power supply, the CRTtoLCD-7 generates all the voltages required by a TFT panel and includes power sequencing features and backlight support.
Two things are needed in order to drive an LCD display correctly. These boards work by loading a 'panel file' via a serial port (which instructs the board what timings/mappings etc are needed in order to drive the display) - some preconfigured panel files are available. A Kontron tool also lets you tweak these settings. Secondly, a compatible LCD cable is also required. Contact us if you need any advice on these items.
This CRTtoLCD-7 (light version) supports LVDS level LCD displays and has VGA (15 pin) or DVI-D.
The LVDS CRTtoLCD-7 boards use the KAB-JILI30 and KAB-JILI40 style cables.
Note that all this board is supplied with no cables. Compatible serial cable is the KAB-COM cable.
