JANUS-MM combines dual CAN bus interfaces with sockets for wireless communications and GPS to create a complete I/O subsystem for automotive and vehicle tracking applications. The dual CANbus ports use the Philips SJA1000T CAN controller and 82C251 transceiver, for full CAN2.0B functionality. Each port is independently isolated from the system to eliminate sensitivity to noise and ground shifts in the network. Jumper options include slew rate control, transceiver power source (on-board or loop power), address, and interrupt settings. Both memory and I/O addressing are supported. For ruggedized applications, 0Ω jumper-bypass resistors can be installed in any configuration.

Note that this is the JNMM-COMBO-XT variant - this is the carrier board only.
GPS - the board can take the Lassen SKII (available separately, see below) which plugs directly onto the board or the Lassen iQ (available separately) which plugs into an adapter which then plugs onto the board (hence - you can't purchase the iQ module and fit it directly to this board).
GSM - the board can take the popular Multitech GPRS/CDMA SocketModems.
This board is just one of a range of high quality serial, analog and digital I/O boards from Diamond Systems - refer to our main website for other boards in their range.
